General manager John Lynch confirmed this morning that the 49ers have discussed the possibility of re-signing wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.Bourne played his first four NFL seasons with the 49ers. He played his past four seasons with the New England Patriots. He was released on Wednesday.The 49ers had “high interest” in Bourne, NBC Sports Bay Area reported on Wednesday, citing a source.“No new news,” Lynch said Thursday on KNBR 680’s “Murph & Markus” show when asked about the team’s interest in reuniting with Bourne.“Any time a really good football player who we had ties to — you know, Kendrick started his career here — becomes available, there’s obviously going to be discussions.
