What to Know The deadline for NFL roster cutdowns to 53 players came and went Tuesday at 1 p.m. PT. Other players will go on injured reserve or other roster lists that do not count toward the 53-player limit. 49ers insider Matt Maiocco provided his analysis on San Francisco’s initial 53-man roster. Here’s everything you need to know after the San Francisco 49ers set their initial 53-man roster for the 2025 NFL season at Tuesday’s deadline.
