Brian Robinson Jr. ready to ‘plug and play’ in Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers scheme

Brian Robinson, newly signed with the 49ers, already has leapfrogged Isaac Guerendo on the depth chart — and the running back is ready for it.The ex-Washington Commander ball-carrier spoke to local Bay Area media on Monday and shared details of his discussion with coach Kyle Shanahan before arriving in the Bay Area.“I’m very aware of how coach Shanahan likes to run his offense with his backs,” Robinson said. “He emphasized that when he called me. ‘You know what I’m about and I’m ready to show you how we get down.’ And I’m like, ‘Look, I’m ready for it.’ “Robinson was the Commanders’ top running back for three straight seasons after being drafted by the team in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
