How 49ers’ Brock Purdy is working on rapport with Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings

HENDERSON, Nev. — Quarterback Brock Purdy has been unable to work on the field with two of his top targets in the 49ers’ passing game.But they are still getting valuable time together, Purdy said Thursday after the 49ers’ joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders.Brandon Aiyuk has not practiced since undergoing surgery to repair his ACL last November. And Jauan Jennings has been out since exiting practice on July 27 with a calf injury.Now, part of Purdy’s post-practice routine is to get together daily with Aiyuk and Jennings to discuss some of the finer points of the team’s passing game.“I always see J.J. in the locker room and we’ll talk about practice and whatnot and just what he’s seeing,” Purdy said. “Same thing with Aiyuk. I’m always asking him, ‘Hey, bro, what did you see on this route or this rep?’ “So they’ve done nothing but give me really good feedback.
