Christian McCaffrey is ideal pupil for longtime 49ers coach Bobby Turner

SANTA CLARA — As 49ers running backs coach Bobby Turner begins his 30th NFL season, he believes as if it cannot get much better than what he is experiencing right now.The teacher has been matched with Christian McCaffrey, a player he considers the ideal pupil.“I’m in the latter part of my career, and I worked a lifetime to be able to coach a player like Christian,” Turner, 76, told NBC Sports Bay Area on Sunday. “The learning never stops.
