The 49ers officially ended linebacker Dre Greenlaw's season on Tuesday. Greenlaw went on injured reserve with the calf injury he suffered in Week 16. Greenlaw did not play on Monday night and head coach Kyle Shanahan said that he would not be playing again this season. Greenlaw missed most of the season while recovering from the torn Achilles he suffered during last season's Super Bowl. He had eight tackles in his 2024 debut, but was injured early in the Week 16 loss to the Dolphins. The veteran linebacker is not under contract for the 2025 season, so it remains to be seen if he has played his final snap with a 49ers team that is set to make changes after falling short of the playoffs.
