The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the signings of six of their eight draft picks on Friday along with a group of eight undrafted free agents. The New York Giants made wide receiver Malik Nabers the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Fifty-eight picks later, the San Francisco 49ers selected cornerback Renardo Green in the second round. Green earned a career-high 86.4 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus last year, with opposing quarterbacks posting a mere 75.0 passer rating when targeting him. He kicked off the season with an impressive performance in Week 1, where he was tasked with containing Nabers and preventing him from taking over the game. Nabers finished the contest with six receptions for 67 yards in a 45-24 loss to Florida State. The San Francisco 49ers selected former Wake Forest safety Malik Mustapha in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The rookie defender joins a group that includes All-Pro Talanoa Hufanga and second-year safety Ji'Ayir Brown. Mustapha tallied 80 tackles, including five for a loss, 0.5 sacks, two passes defensed, an interception, and a forced fumble through 12 games in 2023, per Sports Reference.
