Quick Takeaways

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo went 23-of-32 for 316 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, earning an overall grade of 68.7, a better grade than his 56.6 mark against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16. His Week 18 grade was his second-highest in his last four outings, and he played through a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb.

A trio of wide receivers earned the offense's highest grades. They are Trent Sherfield, Jauan Jennings, and Brandon Aiyuk. Deebo Samuel just missed the top five, earning the offense's sixth-highest grade (74.4). The four receivers combined for 309 receiving yards with Aiyuk leading the team with 107 receiving yards. Jennings hauled in two touchdown passes. One from Garoppolo and the other from Samuel.

Sherfield tied Rams tight end Tyler Higbee for the game's highest grade (89.9).

Linebacker Fred Warner and defensive lineman Arden Key combined to bring down Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. Key finished the regular season with 6.5 sacks and now has 9.5 in his career. Warner now has 4.5 career sacks.

Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles earned his second-highest overall grade of the season, albeit in just nine snaps. Defensive tackle Kevin Givens earned his third-highest overall grade of the season, also during limited playing time.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw has only appeared in three games this season. However, his Week 18 outing earned him his highest grade of the season, despite being responsible for two penalties.

Defensive lineman Kentavius Street's 75.3 overall grade was his highest of the season and best mark since Week 10 of the 2020 season.

Kyle Juszczyk's 48.8 overall grade was his lowest mark of the season, and the sixth time this season the fullback has earned a grade of 58.8-or-lower. However, he finished the season with a pass-blocking grade of 84.2, his highest pass-blocking grade since 2016 with the Baltimore Ravens.

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers have primarily focused on bolstering their defense in free agency. This has included a significant overhaul of the team's defensive front, with notable departures such as Arik Armstead, Chase Young, and Clelin Ferrell. However, the 49ers managed to reinforce their defensive line with key signings, including Leonard Floyd, Yetur Gross-Matos, and Jordan Elliott. Additionally, they traded for Maliek Collins to help along the interior. Pro Football Focus recently analyzed the pros and cons of each team's free-agent acquisitions, indicating that San Francisco isn't expected to take a step back when it comes to rushing the passer. Pro Football Focus' Trevor Sikkema unveiled his latest mock draft this week and has the San Francisco 49ers addressing the offensive line. Specifically, Sikkema suggests the team seeks a potential replacement for Colton McKivitz at right tackle. In Sikkema's projection, the Niners select former Georgia offensive lineman Amarius Mims with the No. 31 overall pick. The analyst views him as an ideal addition to an offensive front that was untouched in free agency—apart from ensuring continuity among last season's starters. "Mims has one of the craziest builds you will have ever seen — in a good way

Latest PFF mock draft has 49ers making surprise pick in Round 1

By David Bonilla

The San Francisco 49ers focused on defense in free agency but still have several needs heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. The team did not address the offensive line, and it's a safe bet they will do so with some rookie selections next month. The Niners could also continue bolstering things on the defensive side of the football. Adding to the defensive back, defensive line, or linebacker groups remains possibilities. Pro Football Focus analyst Brad Spielberger released his latest mock draft and doesn't have the 49ers drafting at any of those positions. Instead, he has the team adding a bit of an insurance policy on offense, drafting former Georgia wide receiver

Mar 19

Offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles recently re-signed with the San Francisco 49ers on one-year deals. OverTheCap.com has revealed the contract information for both deals. Feliciano signed a contract that includes the minimum base salary for a player with eight accrued seasons of experience—$1.21 million. Flannigan-Fowles' base salary is slightly higher, at about $1.77 million. Feliciano is scheduled to count about $2.28 million against the 2024 salary cap, while Flannigan-Fowles is slated to consume almost $1.3 million. The linebacker's reduced impact is due to the 49ers using a portion of up to $1.45 million of salary that won't count against the salary cap for veteran players. The 49ers are paying Feliciano a
