49ers-Seahawks Injury Report: Fred Warner listed as ‘doubtful’; Deebo Samuel, Dre Greenlaw ruled out

The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 13 contest against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.
Linebackers
Dre Greenlaw and Marcell Harris did not practice. Harris remains in the concussion protocol. Both sustained their injuries during Sunday's win over the Minnesota Vikings. Greenlaw has been ruled "out" while Harris is "questionable."
Running back Trey Sermon was also absent from practice due to the ankle injury suffered on Sunday.
"It's not [a high-ankle sprain], but it was a pretty bad one," head coach Kyle Shanahan said earlier this week before admitting that injured reserve is a possibility for the rookie running back. "He'll be out for a little while."

Fred Warner was in uniform and
working on a side field. On Monday, Shanahan stated that Warner
would not play this weekend due to a hamstring strain but could return next week. On Friday, the 49ers officially listed as "doubtful," leaving the door open for the star linebacker to potentially play.
Wide receiver
Deebo Samuel suffered a groin strain against the Vikings. He and fellow wideout Mohamed Sanu, who has been on injured reserve since November 15 due to a knee injury, were also seen working on a side field. They, however, were not in uniform. Samuel has been ruled "out" for Sunday.
On Friday, Shanahan added that defensive tackle Maurice Hurst has been ruled out
after suffering a setback during Thursday's practice.

49ers' Fred Warner addresses Armstead's departure, Greenlaw's recovery, Super Bowl window
The news of Arik Armstead's departure from the San Francisco 49ers after nine seasons with the team shocked linebacker Fred Warner. Armstead, a former first-round pick, was an impactful force on the football field. Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that Dre Greenlaw will receive the Dwight Clark Award this year. The San Francisco 49ers linebacker will take the stage on Thursday, May 16, at the fourth annual Dwight Clark Legacy Series in San Jose to accept the prestigious award.
Each year, a current 49ers player is honored with the Dwight Clark Legacy Award, presented to a player who best exemplifies the late receiver's spirit of teamwork. Linebacker Fred Warner was the recipient last year. Defensive lineman Arik Armstead, now with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was the recipient in 2022, while tight end George Kittle earned the first-ever award in 2021.

Amidst swirling trade rumors surrounding Brandon Aiyuk, the speculation surrounding Deebo Samuel's future with the San Francisco 49ers seems to have quieted down.
According to Michael Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle, the 49ers have assured Samuel that he will not be involved in any pre- or post-draft transactions, ensuring his place on the roster for the time being.
"Samuel, who signed a three-year, $71.55 million extension before the 2022 season, has been assured by his bosses that he will not be dealt during or after the draft," Silver reported, citing a source familiar with the discussions.

With the 2024 NFL Draft less than a week away, it's common for the rumor mill to start churning, especially with players who are actively seeking a new contract. It was just two short years ago that WR Deebo Samuel requested a trade from the San Francisco 49ers prior to draft day, only for cooler heads to prevail and eventually agree to a new deal.
