49ers' George Kittle: 'Trent Williams is the best football player in the NFL'
By David Bonilla

Trent Williams' 97.8 overall Pro Football Focus grade from the 2021 regular season led the NFL. In fact, it was the highest-ever grade awarded by the analytics site. Now, some will criticize the grade, arguing that you can't consider an offensive tackle the best player in the league.
Don't tell that to All-Pro tight end George Kittle, Williams' San Francisco 49ers teammate.
"Trent Williams is the best football player in the NFL," Kittle declared Friday on The Pat McAfee Show (h/t NBC Sports Bay Area). "I don't care. You could talk to me about any

Pro Football Focus (PFF) did their annual ranking of the top 25 players under 25 entering the season, compiling a list of the many young stars that have taken over football in the past few years.
With the criteria being "under 25," several players graduated from PFF's rankings last year, including 49ers' star linebacker Fred Warner, who came in as the best player under 25 on PFF's list in 2021, which was ahead of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, then-Tennessee Titans receiver A.J. Brown, and San Francisco's own Nick Bosa, who slotted in at two, three, and four, respectively on the list.
In their 2022 version, PFF ranked Bosa as their best player under 25 in 2022, ahead of quarterback Justin Herbert, running back Jonathan Taylor, and most notably,

The San Francisco 49ers begin their rookie minicamp on Friday afternoon, giving fans and media their first look at the nine rookies the team drafted, as well as the undrafted free agents the team signed or invited to camp.
One player that likely will not participate in team drills is sixth-round defensive tackle Kalia Davis, who is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last fall, which likely played a role in his falling draft stock.
Davis has had an intriguing journey, playing linebacker during his freshman season before transitioning to the defensive line, which he attributed to his bigger size.
"Well really, I moved from linebacker to D-lineman because my body was changing," Davis said. "I [gained] a little too much weight. The biggest part about
