The San Francisco 49ers are trending upwards, even with reports from Santa Clara of quarterback Trey Lance having an up-and-down training camp. Still, the team is talented enough to withstand any growing pains by the second-year player and new full-time starter. Apparently, Dan Hanzus of Around the NFL knows this, and that's why Kyle Shanahan's squad has moved up one spot in NFL.com's most recent power rankings, landing at No. 4. "It's full speed ahead for the Trey Lance era in San Francisco," wrote Hanzus. Lance spoke about what he's seen from a number of veterans and young players on offense, while Gray discussed where he is in his development since being selected by the 49ers in Round 3 of the 2022 NFL Draft. And there was another rookie on Saturday who put on a memorable show at practice, albeit in a unique way. Here's a rundown of what was discussed Saturday afternoon. * Welcome back

By Rohan Chakravarthi

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance had a bounce-back performance on Tuesday, completing 14/17 passes with a rushing touchdown, while consistently picking up the chains in one of his best practices during training camp yet. Lance, who completed 4/12 passes on Sunday with an interception, was not as bad as the numbers indicated on Monday, but Tuesday's performance was certainly a pleasant sight as the 49ers head into their first preseason game on Friday against the Green Bay Packers. Lance started the day strong, completing his first five passes, which included a 15-yard
