As it turns out, the 49ers had three starters sidelined by significant injuries in their season opener. Inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw, 24, will require surgery for a groin injury he suffered in a 41-33 win at Detroit in which he had a 39-yard interception return for a touchdown, a league source said Thursday.
