Kendrick Bourne is on his way out of the Bay Area. The New England Patriots are signing San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to a three-year deal reportedly worth $22.5 million, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent and can officially sign his new contract on Wednesday.

Bourne had been in contact with the 49ers and hoped to stay with the team.
"They definitely told me they want me back, so that's just a great feeling in itself," Bourne said last week on KNBR. "It could be the other way around, easily. So, I'm just glad how I took those four years serious, and am at where I'm at."
San Francisco signed Bourne as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Washington in 2017. He registered career-highs in receptions (49) and receiving yards (667) with two touchdowns in 2020.
"But just trying to play the best option for me," added Bourne. "I've got family I've got to take care of, stuff like that; life stuff. If somebody's going to give me a lot of money, then it might be a hard decision for me, but we'll just see how it plays out."
Bourne, 25, has caught 137 passes for 1,769 yards with 11 touchdowns through his four NFL seasons.
