San Francisco 49ers VP of player personnel Adam Peters recently spoke with Matt Barrows of The Athletic. He was asked about the team's presence in South Carolina to watch Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The Niners own the No. 12 overall pick in the upcoming draft, and Lawrence is expected to be the top selection, going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yet, San Francisco was among 17 teams in attendance to watch Lawrence. Peters reminds everyone that there were other players there. For example, one of the receivers that Lawrence was throwing to during the workout was Cornell Powell, who caught 53 passes for 882 yards and seven touchdowns for the Tigers last season. The

Monson explains why trading young 49ers stars for Deshaun Watson isn't unthinkable

Sam Monson, the lead analyst for Pro Football Focus, feels the trade partner that makes the most sense for Deshaun Watson is the Miami Dolphins. In 2020, after a Super Bowl appearance, rumors were circulating about his former mentor in New England, Tom Brady, possibly replacing him. This offseason, it has been everyone from Matthew Stafford to Deshaun Watson. Do chatter and constant doubt in Garoppolo's ability bother the quarterback? Not as much as one might believe, it seems. Soon-to-be free agent, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, joined The Pat McAfee Show on Monday and shared why the constant rumors don't weigh on Garoppolo. It's because he doesn't listen to never-ending social media dialogue. In fact, he doesn't see much of it. "I think it would be

Whenever Kirk Cousins' name comes up in trade rumors, San Francisco 49ers fans seem to let out a collective groan. That's the reaction caused by Peter King's latest column where he speculates what it might take for a team to acquire quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. More on the Cousins portion in a minute. Kirk Larrabee covered what King feels the 49ers might need to surrender to acquire Watson, and it is a hefty price. The NFL writer has San Francisco shipping quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, linebacker Fred Warner, tackle Mike McGlinchey, this year's first-round pick, 2022's first-round pick, this year's second-round pick, and a third-round pick in
