49ers Superstar Deebo Samuel Saves the Season

Thank you, Deebo Samuel. As the circus that is the 2020 49ers season continues on, Deebo Samuel ensured that it remained relevant for at least one more week. On Sunday, the 49ers upset their rival LA Rams for the 2nd time this season, completing the season sweep of the Rams and bringing their record to 5-6. It was a messy affair that consisted of 7 turnovers between the two teams and a few dramatic lead changes down the stretch. In the end, the 49ers came out on top. The 49ers can thank WR Deebo Samuel for this one. He is a legitimate superstar. Scoff all you'd like; while his 2020 stat line may not impress (5 games, 27 receptions, 318 yards and 1 TD), Samuel transforms the 49ers offense in a major way. In the 5 games that Samuel appeared in, the 49ers are 3-2.

49ers waive Takk McKinley, add Brandon Aiyuk, Trent Williams, Daniel Helm to reserve/COVID-19 list

The San Francisco 49ers officially announced that the team has waived Takkarist McKinley after the defensive end failed his physical due to a groin injury. Matt Barrows of The Athletic first reported the move. The 49ers also announced that three more players — wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, tight end Daniel Helm, and tackle Trent Williams — have been added to the reserve/COVID-19 list. They become fifth, sixth, and seventh players added to the reserve/COVID-19 list this week. This is the second time on the list for both Aiyuk and Williams.
