49ers' Brock Purdy completes tosses to George Kittle at Levi's Stadium...during Luke Combs concert

By Marc Adams
May 19

San Francisco 49ers fans are accustomed to seeing QB Brock Purdy complete passes to tight end George Kittle. On Saturday night, the duo hooked up a few more times at Levi's Stadium. But it was on a stage rather than on the field. Country music star, Luke Combs, was in concert at Levi's Stadium, when part of the way through his show, he called Purdy and Kittle on stage to join him. After downing a beer with Combs, Kittle then motioned for Purdy to throw him another. Of course, his quarterback obliged. In the video, it appears that Combs raised his hand for another, but Purdy looked him off, choosing to go to his star tight end

By David Bonilla

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy now has a full NFL season under his belt. He entered the league as the last overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and spent much of the offseason working to make the roster, knowing he had to maximize his limited practice reps. The 49ers saw potential in Purdy, enough to keep him on the 53-man roster—a decision that would eventually prove to be franchise-changing. Speaking at the Dwight Clark Legacy Series event last week, Purdy reflected on that first NFL season, coming to an interesting realization regarding his unique

Is this the best wide receiver group Kyle Shanahan has had with the 49ers?

If you want wide receivers, the San Francisco 49ers have you covered. In addition to bringing back their top three receivers from 2023, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and Jauan Jennings, the 49ers are also bringing back Chris Conley, Danny Gray, Ronnie Bell, Trent Taylor, and others. And if that wasn't enough, they drafted Ricky Pearsall (Florida) and Jacob Cowing (Arizona) and signed undrafted rookie free agent, Terique Owens (Missouri State). That's a solid receiving corp, led by two Pro Bowlers and a guy with a knack for picking up first downs. But where does this group rank among those Kyle Shanahan has had in San Francisco? We can't compare this group to those from the 1980s and 1990s. That would be unfair. Any wide receiver group with Jerry Rice, the greatest

Analyst declares 49ers the 'best team in football, and it's not even close'

By David Bonilla
May 16

The Kansas City Chiefs might have clinched back-to-back Super Bowl victories, including February's overtime triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, but one NFL analyst won't declare Andy Reid's squad the best in the league heading into a new season. That distinction goes to the Super Bowl runner-up. The NFL unveiled its complete 2024 schedule on Wednesday. When asked which Super Bowl participant has the best chance of returning to the big game in the upcoming season, Fox Sports analyst Craig Carton didn't hesitate to respond, "San Francisco." "They're the best team in football, and it's not even close," he continued. "They're the best team, not just in football, they're the best team in the NFC. There's three or four teams that are obviously going to give them a
