Head coach Kyle Shanahan backed off his initial assertion Tuesday that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin would remain on the team throughout the offseason. Goodwin, 29, is a logical candidate to be released because he's had two consecutive disappointing seasons and parting ways would create more $3.6 million in much-needed salary cap space.
