The San Francisco 49ers will have to stop one of the team's icons on Sunday at MetLife Stadium when the team will face running back Frank Gore, who remains a beloved fan-favorite. Gore is in his 16th NFL season and is at the tail end of his Hall of Fame-worthy career. Still, he has the respect of the 49ers coaching staff and players. "I love Frank Gore," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Wednesday. "I think he's one of the best running backs to ever to play. I think one of the more underrated running backs to ever play. Linebacker Fred Warner felt for his teammates but believes the 49ers have the depth to overcome the injuries, if necessary. "I think this team's built for that," Warner said after the game. "You mention how we've got a lot of depth, and over the years,

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with reporters on Monday afternoon and confirmed that the team has agreed to terms with veteran pass rusher Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah. The 49ers are expected to receive official word soon that defensive end Nick Bosa will be lost for the season after suffering what is strongly believed to be an ACL injury during Sunday's costly victory over the New York Jets. "We agreed to terms with Ziggy," Shanahan said. "Once he passes the COVID test(s) and everything, it should be official, and hopefully, we can get him in here for Wednesday practice." Shanahan was asked what Ansah brings to the 49ers amid the
