The San Francisco 49ers added to their offensive line depth on Monday by claiming guard Willie Beavers (6-5, 322) off of waivers from the Chicago Bears, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. He is 25 years old.
Update: The 49ers announced that the team has waived running back Matthew Dayes to make room on the roster.
The Minnesota Vikings made Beavers a fourth-round selection out of Western Michigan in 2016. He also spent time with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. The Bears waived Beavers on May 2. He has appeared in two career games with both coming during his rookie campaign.
