The 49ers most decorated wide receivers in 2019 might be on their coaching staff. The team will hire former NFL wideout Miles Austin as an offensive quality control coach, a league source said. Austin will join another Pro Bowl wide receiver, Wes Welker, 37, who will serve as the team's wide receivers coach, a source confimed. Welker ranks 22nd in NFL history in receptions. Austin, 34, had two 1,000-yard seasons and went to two Pro Bowls during a 10-year career spent with the Cowboys (2006-2013), Browns (2014) and Eagles (2015). Austin spent 2014 with the Browns when 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was Cleveland's offensive coordinator. He will replace T.C. McCartney, who was hired as the Broncos quarterbacks coach, on the 49ers staff.
