Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon would like to join the 49ers, and there is at least some degree of mutual interest. On Sunday, general manager John Lynch said the 49ers have called Cleveland about a potential trade and they are doing their homework on the talented and troubled wideout who has played for head coach Kyle Shanahan. On Saturday, Browns general manager John Dorsey said in a statement Cleveland would release Gordon on Monday, but they have since received trade interest. Gordon reportedly wants to play for the 49ers or Cowboys and the Browns want to deal him out of the AFC.
