The 49ers' linebackers corps has lost yet another member. On Wednesday, the team placed inside linebacker Brock Coyle on injured reserve with a compression fracture in his back that he sustained in a season-opening loss to the Vikings on Sunday. Coyle, who also sustained a concussion on the play on which he was injured, could be one of the two players the 49ers can activate from injured reserve later in the season. "Six weeks until he can have contact again," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "He will recover at some time this year, but we know it's going to be at least six weeks before he can have a chance to play football." On Saturday, the 49ers placed outside linebacker Dekoda Watson (hamstring) on IR.
