That didn't take long. On Friday, about 15 hours after the 49ers selected right tackle Mike McGlinchey with the No. 9 pick in the NFL draft, they traded right tackle Trent Brown to the Patriots, a league source said. The 49ers traded Brown and a fifth-round pick (No. 143) to New England for a third-round pick (No. 95), ESPN reported. The 49ers now have a second-round pick (No. 59) and three third-round selections (No. 70, 74 and 95). The news doesn't come as surprise given the selection of McGlinchey with a top-10 pick. In fact, general manager John Lynch said "you never say never" when asked about the possibility of trading Brown on Thursday night.
