A number of players along the San Francisco 49ers defensive line have been seeking their first sack of the 2017 season. Included among those players is rookie defensive lineman Solomon Thomas. Through three games this season, he has been unable to get to the opposing quarterback.
On Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, Thomas got his first career sack when he brought down quarterback Carson Palmer in the second quarter of the game with the 49ers leading 6-3. Following the play, teammates and coaches cheered and applauded the young 49ers defensive cornerstone.
Thomas was the third overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft.
