MINNEAPOLIS - Too bad that just a dress rehearsal. On Sunday night, two weeks before their season opener, the 49ers played like they were ready for the real games to begin. In their third preseason contest, the 49ers' starters dominated early in a 32-31 loss to the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. After their first two drives, the 49ers led 14-0, had outgained the Vikings 167-19 and quarterback Brian Hoyer was flawless. Hoyer began by completing 9 of 9 passes for 152 yards and tossing touchdowns to wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (46 yards) and running back Carlos Hyde (24 yards). His passer rating -- 158.3 - was perfect.
