In the aftermath of losing their seventh straight game to the rival Seahawks, the 49ers are expected to interview Seattle offensive line coach Tom Cable for their head-coach opening and Seattle's co-directors of player personnel Scott Fitterer and Trent Kirchner for their general-manager vacancy next week, USA Today reported. Cable, 52, who also has the title of assistant head coach, has been with the Seahawks since 2011. In August 2009, defensive assistant Randy Hanson emerged from a meeting with Cable with a broken jaw and accused him of assault. "Obviously, your record speaks for itself, but I think there's more to it than that," York said. [...] I think, again, if you're going to reestablish a culture and you're going to have everybody held accountable in the locker room, players accountable to each other, I think the best way to do that is a clean slate. The expected interviews with the Seattle trio will come after the Seahawks beat the 49ers, 25-23, in their regular-season finale Sunday.
