Games to watch as 49ers eye Wild-card spot

By now, everyone is aware of the importance of Sunday's matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings. This game is for Wild Card position, as the 49ers look to build on their newfound momentum for the rest of the season. However, there are a few other games this week to keep an eye on that will affect positioning as teams look to make a playoff push. Here are a few of the big ones. On Thanksgiving Day, the Buffalo Bills (6-4) take on the Saints (5-5) in New Orleans. The Bills seek to get things right as they are coming off back-to-back weeks with embarrassing losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts. The Saints look to hold onto their 7th-seed Wild-card spot at home and take advantage of a struggling Bills team. Let's go,

It was a playoff atmosphere at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday as the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers battled for positioning in the NFC Wild Card race, and in the end it was the 49ers who proved to be up to the task as they outlasted the Vikings in a 34-26 shootout. The Vikings and 49ers entered into the game at 5-5 on the season and in control of the No. 6 and No. 7 seeds in the NFC playoff picture, respectively. The 49ers answered the bell with a combination of effective offense and big plays on defense in the first meeting between the two teams since their 27-10 win over the Vikings in the 2019 NFC Divisional Playoff round. The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 11 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. Running back Elijah Mitchell suffered a fractured finger during Monday night's win against the Los Angeles Rams. He did not practice. "He just had [the procedure] yesterday," head coach Kyle Shanahan said. "Today, he's not good enough to practice. I think he'll go Sunday, but we've got to see day to day." Elijah Mitchell underwent surgery to repair the fractured finger suffered on Monday night against the Rams. The running back has not practiced this week. However, he was seen today on a side field in a blue no-contact jersey and a bandage over his finger.
