Patriots fans plentiful at Levi's Stadium New England fans appeared to outnumber — and out-decibel — what's known as the Faithful in a game featuring New England's prominent Bay Area natives: quarterback Tom Brady (San Mateo) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (Redwood City). Outside linebacker Ahmad Brooks said he found the seas of red and blue "a little disrespectful." Right tackle Trent Brown said he hadn't played in a home game in which the road team had so many fans. Safety Eric Reid exited late in the fourth quarter holding his right arm and NFL Network reported he sustained a torn biceps, which would be a season-ending injury. Reid, who will have an MRI exam Monday, was seen in the locker before he retreated to a back room. If Reid is, indeed, lost for the season, cornerback Jimmie Ward is a logical candidate to assume his spot. Wide receiver Torrey Smith missed a game for the first time in his six-year career because of a shoulder injury he sustained the previous Sunday at Arizona. With Smith out, rookie Aaron Burbridge, a sixth-round pick with two receptions, started.
