Phil Dawson kicks 400th career field goal

San Francisco 49ers kicker Phil Dawson reached a personal milestone in the team's game against the New England Patriots. He has kicked his 400th career field goal.

Only nine other kickers have accomplished that feat. The latest was Sebastian Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders, who kicked his 400th field goal on November 7 against the Denver Broncos.

After becoming an unrestricted free agent at the start of the new league year in March, Dawson signed a one-year deal to return to the 49ers.

Dawson, who turned 41 in January, is in his 18th season in the NFL. He has attempted 472 field goals over his career.
