Everytime I see the "Nuggets" I think of testicles. Yo Carmelo, you play for a pair of balls!
A look at the Lakers 3 point shooting in the palyoffs:

Quote:

Lamar Odom: 51.4% (18/35)

Shannon Brown: 48.0% (12/25) -- impressive for a young player

Trevor Ariza: 47.6% (40/84) -- Huge 3s in Finals

Kobe Bryant: 34.9% (37/106) -- he should probably pass on some of those

Sasha Vujacic: 31.4% (16/51) -- But none in Finals

Luke Walton: 31.3% (5/16) -- Better than we expected

Jordan Farmar: 30.8% (12/39) -- But still question his judgment

Derek Fisher: 28.4% (19/67) -- But clutch when it counted.

I heard more than one person last night compare that to Jordan's shot against us in '91.

hurts me to say this

Kobe's shot >>> MJ's

That's because Lebron James wasn't in the Finals.

Yeah, they would have been down at least 20 to 30 percent if LeBron woulda played.

i seriously think that the Lebron vs Kobe matchup was so hyped that when the Lechumps lost, the real NBA fans still tuned it, but the ones who were expecting james vs kobe they decided it wasnt worth it

Meh. He was playing against the Spurs.

I was just being facetious. Of course the ratings would have been better if LeBron made it.

All in all, I think the ratings for this year's Finals did as well as could be expected since it went 5 games, had 2 games that weren't very close, and didn't have a marquee matchup (either Kobe vs. LeBron or Lakers vs. Boston). Down 10% isn't bad, all things considered. I also believe that ratings were up in the 18-49 demographic, although I'm not sure about that. I think that's important too. And I beleive that they were up for the overall playoffs as well.

I think the league's in a good place, and it's nice to see.
