Kap's first half throws:

Kap had a bad pass to Hunter while under intense pressure.
The throw that Boldin tipped was intended for Davis, and it was on the mark, and he made the throw under intense pressure.
He made a perfect throw to Davis that Davis dropped.
He had a mis-communication scrambling from pressure, where Crabtree broke the other way.
He threw a good ball to Davis in the endzone, but there were two many defenders around.
He made a bad decision on the near pick.
He made a bad throw to Boldin after running into Gore which caused him to limp around a bit.
He made a perfect throw to Boldin that Boldin dropped, but it was well defended.
He made a throw with two free runners coming straight at him to a part of the field where he thought Davis would break on a hot read, but Davis kept running straight. He had about a half second to decide where to throw the ball.
He threw an incomplete pass to Crab where Crab was again breaking to a different part of the field.
He threw a ball to Gore on a scramble and Gore was facing the wrong way to reach for the ball on the sideline so he stepped out of bounds.
He had a throw to Davis that wasn't ideally placed, but it was down and away from the defense and went through Davis's hands.
He threw a ball to Boldin where the linebacker got away with a close pass interference play.
He had the pass interference play to Boldin in the endzone. I don't like that rule, but it was called correctly.

The throws in bold are the only ones I would partially blame Kap with, most of them were mis-communications and/or were under duress. The underlined bold play is 100% on Kap.

The rest of the throws were spot on, some of them extraordinary, like the throw to Crabtree, where he was under super intense pressure from all sides, and Crab went up to get the ball.
He also did a nice job with the touchdown to Davis.
He had a couple of perfect back shoulder throws.
He had a couple of nice side line and corner throws.

Kap was under a lot more pressure than the one sack from the first half indicated. He played a little bit rushed, but we only took one sack, there could have been a lot more if Kap was not getting rid of the ball as quickly as he was.

This is how the Panthers should feel about their gameplan.

Kap was under HEAVY pressure for most of the first half.

He got rattled by heavy pressure early (from arguably the best front 7 in the NFL), but stayed calm and came back with a great 2nd half. Thats what you want from a young QB. Hes 4-1 in the playoffs in 1.5 years as an NFL starter, and already has 3 road playoff wins. People need to get off his back.

He didnt let an overwhelming pass rush and alot of Panthers' trash talking get in his head. He found a way to get it done. Thats what a franchise QB does, and the fact that hes already showing these skills is a HUGE bonus.

Stop nit-picking every little mistake. Tom Brady makes mistakes. I cant stand people who sit at home with no athletic talent and pick at players for everything they dont do. We dont need to come out in SEA and drive it down their throat. Just control the crowd, chip away at points any way you can get them, and try to win the physical battle.

I would love to see Kap play like he did today against SEA next week. Hes not going to just be able to listen to your "wise" advice to score more TD's early. Hes going to face a hostile environment, heavy pressure, and a D who will be in his face trying to rattle him. Just like the game today. He just needs to stay calm and focused, get the team back on the same page, and adjust to the defense.

As long as we keep things close, and avoid the big momentum swing in the Seahawks direction, were going to have a legit shot at winning the game.

As Vernon Davis said, they will look at some film and make sure it doesn't happen again like what happened in Week 2.

Kaep looked like he was trying to beat the Panthers close coverage or the rush on some of his throws in the first half and it affected his accuracy. As the game went on he was able to adjust and made so really nice throws. In the first qtr it seemed like he was trying to feel things out. It happens with all qb. They are trying to push the envelope of their decisions and throws without going retard and let the other team have the momentum in their home turf and crowd, especially against a really good defensive team like the Panthers.

You can call it struggling by Kaep. But it's part of any qb's game. You just don't go out there and zip the ball around and confident like in the first qtr against a top rated defense. You deliberately test out what you can do. To expect Kaep to go through the Panthers defense like hot knife through butter is totally unrealistic.

The kid played good. The win was a team victory, the way it should be. The best teams usually win.

Kap was definitely jittery throughout most of the first half. You could even see Gore get on his ass for missing a throw to him along the sideline. I knew once he settled down, all would be good.

LOL at Skip Bayless excusing Cam for yesterday being is first playoff game. -I'm sorry, but he's a 4 year starter, if they wanna throw that argument out at Kap, then Cam should be fitted, there's no excuse for a 4-year starter losing like that, Cam is overrated garbage.
