Think we had an official power rankings thread last year and we just did this every week: There I just eliminated the need for 4 additional threads.

Oh no, #3 in a poll which is meaningless at any point during the season? Bed-wetters UNITE, and have great angst.

The Seattle jock riders aren't factoring in that they are all coming off the PEDS and ROIDS this year. That has to have an effect.

The reason Seattle is ranked #1 is because Mike Sando is one of the voters. Sando lives in Seattle, practically works for the Seacocks PR dept on the side, and he has Pete Carroll's balls deep in his mouth.

People picking the Seahawks forget the Carroll factor. Guy has made a career of shooting himself in the foot. He will be the reason the Seahawks underachieve this year.

ESPN mindset is based on pre Louisiana Purchase maps and guidelines.

Yeah, don't really care about being #3 on the list. It's more a "hype level" list than anything.

ESPN knows how easily they can get Seattle fans' attention, for both good and for bad. They're such an over-sensitive bunch.

Who needs objective journalism at ESPN? Just say "Skip Bayless said something about the Seahawks," and watch ESPN's viewership and Twitter feeds explode with fan reactions!

I knew there was a reason I only follow beat writers.

That's why I don't care about Power Rankings. By far the most cost-effective way to get tons of hits on their Web sites with little effort.

I don't care that the niners are ranked 3 , i just hate the seacocks are ranked 1
