Worse than I thought, but I do remember lots of unsustained blocks... even some missed blocks due to confusion. Vernon is a stud because he works so hard to be one (catch-hands, blocks), but if he didn't have that work ethic? His lack of game awareness and the unnatural catch-hands could have been his undoing.

Thanks for that drive, Vernon!
Fine post - Thanks!
Nice to see how our line has improved.

I have to agree. If Vernon didn't have supreme athleticism than he wouldn't be very good. It seems to me like he has lost a little power as well. He looks a bit slimmer, but maybe it's an attempt to be a bit more agile and work more as a receiving tight end.

He is one of those players where the big games bring the best out of him, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Wow thats a nice jump. I agree with most of the commentators who were talking about we have the best oline in football, I was highly impressed this year most of all with Boone to go from an undrafted rookie with a serious drinking problem, to the level he is playing now its not only been a feel good story but impressive as well.

He always had first round talent at tackle. Playing guard at a high level is no real surprise. Thanks McCloughan.
