I like it. An upgrade over Shuan Hill as a backup and he will give Alex Smith a little push and giving us a solid backup. I think him spending two years with the Giants just sitting back and watching and learning from Eli Mannings and Gilbride was the best thing for him and hey he showed in the little PT he got with the Giants that he can play when he is protected.

if anything, I think this would make Smith look over his shoulder even more. I'm going to guess that Carr's career stats are better than Smith's. I'm too lazy to check. Both of them need to resurrect their careers and live up to their draft status. This is like tying two rocks together in the hopes that they will float.
