40's - 50's are rare (in color) :
Early 60's : (1962 is hard to find)
1994 :
1996 :
1998 : (Still too soon for this one IMO)

Oh, I forgot about the helmet and jersey color change. I was too fixated on the white pants.

No, apart from being both white the '94 and '96 pants were different (in the pant stripes) :
1994 = red/black/red:
1996-97 = black/cardinal red/black (also a little bit thicker):

I went with 1958
