Crazy that this kid is on the brink of the NFL. A good friend of mine was the DB coach at Grossmont College (JC) when Cooper was there. He asked me to be his game day booth assistant, and I jumped at the chance. Cooper was a starting corner that season, so fun to watch. Very aggressive, strong, solid bump technique, and great spatial awareness.

That site you're talking about is "Hudl," AB. Good stuff on there, excellent for scouting.

Edit - here's the Hudl link for Cooper: http://www.hudl.com/profile/5410392/Tyneil-Cooper

I looked at his HUDL footage, this kid is a BEAST!

Who don't we hear about these small school guys? Does this kid really have a shot at getting drafted, or will he more likely be an undrafted free agent?

Agreed with your QB's for the most part, Id flip Darnold with Jackson but i had to stop at RB's because i was so shocked with your ranking of John Kelly. Tennessees offense was ugly but just curious on your assessment of Kelly because i thought he was one of the 10 best backs I've seen all year.

Also couldn't find much else to disagree with so overall love the Big Board. If I'm being picky, i also ask what you think about Taven Bryan? He's your #9 DT but I'm not sure how you put him behind the likes of Lotulelei and really all of 4-8.

More of a UDFA probably, but he's a good one, also check out Morehead State CB Braylyn Cook, Texas A&M-Commerce QB Luis Perez, and Bethany College OLB/S Damien Bell-White. One of my personal favorite small schoolers is Duquesne ILB Carter Henderson, can play MIKE and WILL, 5'11 range, patterns his play around Kuechly.
AB what are your thoughts on Siran Neal? Is he a good fit here, where do you think he gets drafted?

I do think Neal fits the 49ers, 6'1, 205, has good speed, was a shut down CB at Jax State, right now I say in the 6th round area, depending on combine, pro day, etc... He could end up being a early day 3 pick. i like the 4 small school CBs that were at the SR Bowl, Michael Joseph, Taron Johnson, Neal, and Danny Johnson.

More on Neal, great in coverage, tackling machine, relentless defender.
Can't wait to see how Neal looks at the combine.
If we pick at 9 is there any chance we land Barkley or Nelson?
What are your thoughts on where Hercules fits best as a pro?

For Kelly I think I have him too low, now that i think of it, not sure why i have him below everyone but the first 14 backs, keep in mind I do this in my worksheet(Excel), so I tend to screw up at times, I'm constantly copy and pasting.
On Bryan, I have 4 first round DTs(Payne, Vea, Hurst and Thompson), then the 2nd tier, Nnadi, Settle, Lotulelei, Brown and Bryan
Obviously, Settle is in that NT form, I think he's in the 335 range, Lotulelei I think he's also NT range, where the other 3 are 4-3 DT or Big Ends for our scheme. I liked Bryan a lot, and I have him back to back with Brown, who I love, plays DE and DT for UVA. Settle was a disruptive defender, same for Lotulelei. Nnadi was consistent for FSU.
If we were to pick any of them, i'd have no issue with any, obviously we're good at NT with Mitchell and Jones.

If we pick at 9 is there any chance we land Barkley or Nelson?
What are your thoughts on where Hercules fits best as a pro?

Barkley i doubt it, I think he goes top 5, if CLE is smart they take Barkley at 4, especially with Crowell unsigned, Nelson yes, I think he could be there at 9 or 10.

love Mata'afa, I think he fits the EDGE/LEO spot we're looking for. I think he's in the 250 range, or so that's what he's listed at. I think he would be a great fit at LEO, if a 3-4 team drafts him then 3-4 OLB, like Aldon Smith(probably bulk up a bit). I'd do the opposite of what we did with Tank Carradine, and put him at a spot he never played, so put Mata'afa as a edge rusher.
I apologize to anyone if I've missed your replies, or have been bland on replies, been really sick, fighting the flu lately, not myself also mentally.

I also have an issue with remembering things, so i have to look at my notes, and website from time to time to get things right.

This is what I've been thinking he could be our homerun hitter off the edge that we need so badly. Would taking him at 9 be a reach? Would you take Nelson at 9?
Thank you for your input greatly appreciated

Nelson at 9 would be a no brainer, Mata'afa, depends on what his offseason is like, I'd trade back into round 1, I think he goes early round 2 at the latest. I mean it's not out of the realm of going 9, i've seen some mocks having marcus davenport of UTSA going in the top 10-15 picks.

i appreciate the kind words, I do this for the love, not for recognition from media outlets. I refuse to be like McShay, Mayock, Kiper, etc...
If you were Lynch how aggressive would you be in fa. What positions would you look to add so we can just take BPA come draft time

I'd be aggressive, but not go buck wild and spend for the sake of spending, I wouldn't try and outbid for a player that will cost say $15m in year 1, when we could get 3 guys for that price who can help.

WR, CB, LEO, SAM, OG, C are the biggest needs day 1 of FA, and then yeah BPA draft night, stick to your board, I think he nailed it year 1, both FA and draft, Hoyer didn't work out, but it's fine, lesson learned, but Garcon, Goodwin, Juszcyk, Dumervil, were solid signings. He nailed the draft IMO too, Thomas/Foster in rd 1, their number 2 & 3 guys, then Witherspoon and beathard, we'll see what we have in Williams, Taylor was a steal, Kittle was a great pick, Jones as well, and Colbert was a steal. He also hit on UDFAs, with Magnuson, Bolden, Bourne, and Hikutini.

So be aggressive, but don't spend for the sake of spending like I said. Don't be like the Redskins who spend and then are in cap hell 2-3 yrs later.
No doubt Lynch and Shanahan performed admirably in year one,if they can back it up in year 2 we should be division contenders. The nfc west is going to be crazy next year I can't wait

Good to hear on Kelly, I notice alot of general rankings have him as a day 3 pick so maybe I'm just wrong on him but i have him as a 3rd rounder at the moment.

As for Bryan I get that there is that separation between NT and penetrating 3techs. Bryans game against I wanna say FSU is the best single game I've watched on anyone this year. He's a little hot and cold but Is a monster. I do like all the names you have in front of him but not where you have them.

Lotulelei has such a short burst to me, good for about 2 plays a drive and then loses it. But he's a grizzly bear. Brown is also a guy I like but think he stays as a strongside end (maybe bumps inside on passing downs).

Still, great list!
