Thank God we didn't draft 'em

Larry English. I never understood why ANYONE who had any experience of watching him play thought he had a chance to be anything near worth a 1st round pick. The talent just was never there. The man was swallowed up and dominated by inferior tackles -- from terrible competition -- that wouldn't even be drafted, and the Chargers made him a 1st rounder.

I laughed at their horrific reach, and still am.
I definitely recall the hype around Maybin, I think even at the draft he was a "lock" to go to us before Crabtree fell into our laps.
As said before...Adam Carriker is the best one. There were ALOT of peeps on this board arguing for Carriker over Patrick Willis.

THANK GOD we picked Willis.
I want D jackson i'm still unhappy we passed on him... We took BALMER and a stupid RG! We could have add a impact wr!

I was in the minority that didn't want CJ Spiller. Looks like I was right.

He's only had one season. Let's wait until his 3rd season before we can judge him.

No he's a bust.

Now let's resign Alex Smith.

RBs for the most part generally show in their 1st season. He wasn't just average, he was unnoticable

Running backs often don't get alot of time if they can't pass block.

CJ had 74 carries (that's 5 a game) and a 3.8 YPC. The jury is still out, but we never had at him anyways so it really doesn't matter.

You could be right, but it also doesn't help that Chan Gailey preferred Fred Jackson, who played real well last season.

There are a few backs that don't produce right away:
Cedric Benson
Thomas Jones
Brian Westbrook
Michael Turner
