Obvioulsy tackle is our number one need but we desperately need to get faster, and we need a returner.

CJ Spiller fills both of those needs pretty nicely.

We don't need a guard in the 1st either. I'll scream this until my lungs bleed but the reality of the draft is 1 interior lineman goes in the 1st round every year.

Not only that but you can take that slow footed tackle (Vlad Ducasse) move him to guard and get that f*ckin mauler everybody wants.

Drafting a guard in the 1st is worse value then drafting Spiller, and it's not even close.

id rather have a top 5 OL (getting RT and iupati) then having an average o line and spiller truth of the matter is a playmaker who has ability to take it all the way is avaliable every year (percy harvin desean jackson etc) iupati is the best guard to come out in a long time

I don't think you get it. The difference between Vlad Ducasse and Mike Iupati is not that big of a difference. Iupati is not the God people make him to be. He's good at one position (LG) and is raw when it comes to pass protection. If you want me to draft a guard in the 1st give me versatility. Give me a guy that can play 4 positions on the line. To think that we can't reach a top 5 line because we didn't spend 5 1st rounders on the line is absolutely assanine.

Like I said before you pass on a guard at 17 you pass on Iupati and maybe Pouncy goes early in the 2nd.

You can have 5 probowl OL men, but faced with 8-9 men in the box ,it won't change from last years first and second down situations.Granted third down pass protection would be great,but then your putting all your eggs in the third and long with A.Smith basket.

We have a 3rd year guy who to this point has struggled, and a former 2nd round pick who graded out as one of the worst starters in the NFL, as our starters.

Fine get a G and a T in rounds 2-7, but get impact skill impact players in round 1.Speed on the edge will help out Gore and the OL.
