ESPN is reporting that the 49ers have struck a trade with New England. The trade gives the 49ers the 28th pick overall.
According to 49ers.com, the 49ers will swap 2008 first round picks with New England and gave up one of their fourth rounders in this year's draft.
Correction: 49ers.com has not updated their site to state that the 49ers have given up their 2008 first round selection, not that they will swap picks with the Patriots. Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat reports that the 49ers gave up their #110 selection in this draft stating, "It's a very confident pick. Obviously, the 49ers expect to be drafting late in the first round next year."
