The team has worn anniversary patches before. The last was in 2006 when the 49ers were celebrating their 60th anniversary. You can see what all of the anniversary patches look like on our logo history page.

"The unveiling of this commemorative logo is the first of several steps in our year-long celebration of seven decades of 49ers football.
