The San Francisco 49ers were one of 28 teams on hand at Eastern Kentucky's pro day today. The main event was Noah Spence, who recorded times of 4.75 and 4.79 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
"It's not a killer. It's not a crushing time, but you'd hope for it to be just a little bit faster," said NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah.

Spence also took part in position drills at the pro day. While the 49ers were present, it was reported that the pro day did not draw any general managers of head coaches for any of the teams in attendance. There is some skepticism about Spence, who prior to playing for Eastern Kentucky last year, was kicked out of Ohio State and the Big Ten for two failed drug test. However, he has no other drug-related problems since his exile from the Buckeyes.
NFL Media's Kimberly Jones reported that Spence's interviews at the NFL Combine last month were "very shaky." He had eight sacks for the Colonels in 2015, which matched his total from his 2013 season with Ohio State.
