The San Francisco 49ers long and painful streak of no offensive touchdowns during the first quarter is finally over. QB Blaine Gabbert passed to TE Vance McDonald for a 1-yard touchdown to cap off an 11-play, 80-yard drive on Sunday against the Lions in Detroit.
The scoring drive gave the 49ers an early 7-0 lead over the Lions. The scoring drought had gone back to December of 2014.
The streak is over: #49ers score first offensive TD in first quarter since Dec. 28, 2014.
