According to ESPN, once midnight hit on the east coast, the 49ers were one of the more aggressive teams at setting up Friday visits for free agents. They have confirmed that the 49ers are expecting a visit from linebacker Adalius Thomas, which was expected.

The 49ers, along with the Browns and Titans, have also been in communication with cornerback Nate Clements.

No team has more cap space available than San Francisco.

The seemingly neverending injury news got worse in a hurry for the San Francisco 49ers against the New York Jets on Sunday as defensive linemen Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas were carted off the field in the first quarter due to a knee injury. Bosa went down with the injury after a first down run from Jets running back Frank Gore. Bosa was visibly in pain on the turf before trainers carted him to the locker room. 49ers place Nick Bosa, Solomon Thomas on injured reserve, sign Ziggy Ansah, announce other roster moves

The San Francisco 49ers announced several roster moves on Wednesday. The team has officially placed defensive linemen Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas on injured reserve, signed Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah to a one-year deal, and promoted defensive lineman Dion Jordan from the practice squad. The 49ers also signed defensive lineman Alex Barrett and running back Austin Walter to the practice squad.
