According to 49ers.com, the 49ers have signed first-year S Jermaine Hardy and allocated him to NFL Europe.
Hardy, who is 5-10 and 218 lbs, was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He attended Virginia and has spent time on the practice squads of Arizona and Carolina upon entering the NFL. In Carolina, he took part in three games during the 2005 season. He had one tackle in those three games.
