It is always interesting to hear the Australian perspective on their favorite NRL star. The Footy Show, a television series focusing on the NRL in Australia, recently discussed San Francisco 49ers running back and
return man Jarryd Hayne and his impact in the NFL.
Of course, as most know by now, Hayne is a former Rugby League superstar
who left to pursue a career in the NFL. The show discusses Hayne and his NFL running style and how he is bringing the same level of excitement to the NFL that he brought to the NRL.
The Footy Show panel discusses Hayne's brilliant vision in traffic in both the NFL and NRL. They even use split screen to compare him in the NRL and in the NFL.

49ers Notebook: Christian McCaffrey's happy Rams memories; Emmanuel Sanders' lasting impact; Shanahan on why Brock Purdy is the 'real deal'
It's time for the next chapter in the rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, which has produced more than its share of memorable moments in recent years.
Most of those moments have belonged to the 49ers, who have won eight regular season games in a row over the Rams. The most recent chapter in the rivalry was particularly memorable for Christian McCaffrey, who ran for a touchdown, caught a touchdown and threw a touchdown in a 31-14 win at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on October 30, 2022 -- just ten days after he was traded to the 49ers from the Carolina Panthers.
With the 49ers returning to SoFi Stadium this weekend, McCaffrey spoke a bit on Friday about what made that game special. We'll get into that in this version of 49ers Notebook, along
49ers mailbag: Is Christian McCaffrey being overused? Should Spencer Burford be benched? Is Steve Wilkes who the defense needs? When is Nick Bosa going to show up?
The San Francisco 49ers are 2-0 to start off the 2023 season. In 2021, the 49ers won their first two games but then lost their next four. A win Thursday night, in the home opener against the New York Giants, would be the 49ers' first 3-0 start since 2019. That season, the team started out 8-0 before going on to win the NFC West and cruise through the NFC playoffs on their way to a birth in Super Bowl LIV.
I can't seem to remember how that game turned out, though. It's like it's been blocked from my memory.
It doesn't matter, because we've moved on to the current season. And to celebrate the 2-0 start, we've opened up the mailbag to answer those questions burning a hole in your mind. So let's get to it.

49ers' Nick Bosa "getting back into his groove," says Kyle Shanahan
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has had time to review the film from Sunday's 30-23 win over the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. What is his assessment of his now-highly-compensated defensive end, Nick Bosa?
"I think he's getting back into football shape, getting back into his groove," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Monday via a conference call. "I thought he got better and stronger throughout the game, similar to last week in that aspect. I thought he finished the game real strong and took a step forward from Pittsburgh."

Florio: 49ers' Brock Purdy not a franchise QB because of his "weird" name

The San Francisco 49ers are cruising through the beginning of the regular season, winning each of their first three games, with a home bout against the 0-2 Arizona Cardinals next on the docket.
In his return from a torn UCL sustained in last year's NFC Championship Game, quarterback Brock Purdy has picked up right where he left off, continuing his streak of remaining unbeaten in games he's started and finished, which has increased to eight in a row.
The success from 2022 has cemented Purdy as the franchise quarterback, as the 49ers traded away former franchise option Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys, but some aren't as confident in the 2022 seventh-round pick.
Amongst them is Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, who shared a unique reason for not
