49ers practice and media schedule leading to Week 18 matchup vs. Rams

The San Francisco 49ers will hold three full practices this week as the team prepares for its Week 18 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Kyle Shanahan, defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, special teams coordinator Richard Hightower, and various players are scheduled to speak with the media. Jimmy Garoppolo will be limited at 49ers practice on Wednesday

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan addressed the media on Wednesday. He stated that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would practice during Wednesday's session. Although, he will be limited. "[Garoppolo] threw yesterday, and it's made him good enough to be limited today," Shanahan said. Garoppolo is still recovering from a torn ligament and chipped bone in his right thumb, an injury that some believe will require offseason surgery. He could not practice last week and wasn't available for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Rookie Trey Lance started in Garoppolo's place and could make his third career start this weekend, depending on Garoppolo's status. "We'll put Jimmy in on what he feels comfortable doing with where he's at today,"

The San Francisco 49ers announced that practice windows have been opened for the following players ahead of the team's Wednesday practice. CB Emmanuel Moseley WR Mohamed Sanu S Tavon Wilson The Niners are preparing for their regular-season finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. All three players remain on the injured reserve list. The 49ers can activate them at any point, though. Moseley has been recovering from a high-ankle sprain while Sanu is working his way back from a knee injury. Wilson is returning from a foot injury. Jimmy Garoppolo returned to practice for the first time since suffering his thumb injury against the Tennessee Titans on December 23. Although, the quarterback was limited.
