Earlier today, TMZ Sports reported that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and former linebacker Aldon Smith -- who was released by the team today after being arrested last night -- had been involved in a fight during the team's practice on Tuesday. TMZ claimed that it got so heated that "players had to pull them apart."
Beat writer Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, who covers the team religiously, says that there have been no on-the-field altercations that he has seen.
I've watched every minute of #49ers on-field work through five camp practices, and there has yet to be any on-field altercations.

TMZ had claimed that the fight had been over over Smith's ex-girlfriend.
However, Matt Maiocco did remember that the media was not allowed at the team's walk-through. So if anything did happen, it would have been there.
But, as I was just reminded, the media is not allowed to view the team's morning walk-throughs.

Then the rumors got really interesting...
Aldon Smith's agent, Doug Hendrickson, on if Colin Kaepernick had anything to do w/ arrest: "Nothing. These reports are absurd and a joke."

Take it for what it is worth.
