Today, the San Francisco 49ers placed the following players on their active NFI (non-football injury) list according to numerous sources.
RB Carlos Hyde
OT Trent Brown
LB Aaron Lynch
WR DeAndre Smelter
It is important to note that, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, none of these players' injuries are believed to be long-term issues and anyone on the NFI or PUP list can be activated at any point during training camp.
The team also placed C Daniel Kilgore on PUP (physically unable to perform) list.
According to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula said that Hyde had a minor muscle pull back in late May. It is unknown if that is the issue that temporarily placed him on the list.
As far as RB Carlos Hyde, Aaron Lynch and Trent Brown being on NFI, none are believed to be long-term issues. #49ers
