The San Francisco 49ers aren't anywhere near where they want to be five games into the regular season, but they're also not exactly down on themselves either as their bye week gets underway. The 49ers fell 17-10 to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, which marked their third consecutive loss after opening the season with wins over the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. The loss sent the 49ers to 2-3 on the year after defeats at the hands of the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks in previous weeks, and at the moment they face a sizable deficit in the NFC West behind the 5-0 Cardinals and 4-1 Los Angeles Rams. The San Francisco 49ers started 2-0 but have since lost three consecutive games. No one inside the organization is panicking, though. Instead, the focus remains on one game at a time. The 49ers are in their bye week, and a lot of football remains in this 17-game season. "I'm fully confident [the pieces are in place to turn things around] because of the people in our room and the character of the people in our room, because of the people we have in leadership

4th Quarter GAME ALERT: The Seahawks defeat the 49ers 28-21 after a slow start to reach 2-2 on the season, moving to 3rd in the NFC West, as the 49ers now drop to 2-2. Freddie Swain recovers the onside kick and essentially guarantees a Seattle victory, as the Seahawks just have to kneel multiple times to win this one. TOUCHDOWN ALERT: Trey Lance finds Deebo Samuel for an eight-yard score and rushes up the middle for the two-point conversion to make the score 28-21. The 49ers need an onside kick to have a chance to tie. On 4th & 10 after an almost-touchdown to George Kittle, Trey Lance maneuvers in the pocket and rushes through the middle for 13 yards to the SEA 8 for another redzone
