According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, linebacker Desmond Bishop will visit with the San Francisco 49ers.

Bishop has played with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, and was signed by the 49ers on December 16, 2014. He is currently a free agent.

He was originally a sixth-round draft pick of the Packers out of California in 2007. In his two games with the 49ers, he had two tackles on special teams.

The 49ers have already visited with free agent linebacker Erin Henderson and will visit with seven-time Pro Bowler Lance Briggs on Monday.

The team is looking to add a little more depth after losing both Patrick Willis and Chris Borland to retirement. Signing a free agent that can play inside linebacker would allow the 49ers to focus on other priorities in the NFL Draft.
